Estimating commuting modal split by using the Best-Worst Method

Abstract Method This paper endeavors to introduce a new approach modal split estimation. In the frame of research, customized model recently created Best-Worst (BWM) is applied evaluate mode choice alternatives by transport experts. The integrated BWM tested on real-world case study in Budapest, capital Hungary, where small number selected experts estimate three different groups clustered based distance their commuting. Results results clearly demonstrate popularity public among all groups, while car estimated be used primarily short- and mid-distance commuters. coherence responses along with sensitivity analysis rank correlation comparison. Moreover, final are compared official data city. Recommendations Based findings, it can concluded that application competitive accuracy mainstream methodologies, moreover needs significantly less cost time effort during survey procedure.
